Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Cytokine Signaling, Nanotechnology and Monocyte-Macrophage Biology

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine
Baltimore, MD

An exciting Post-doctoral Research Fellowship opportunity to work and train in a basic science/translational immunology laboratory focused on monocyte-macrophage biology and cytokine signaling in lung disease including asthma and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). A molecular and cellular biology/biochemistry approach in primary human (patient) samples and mouse models will be used for studies of signal transduction, immunology, inflammation in the lung. We are well funded and have exciting new projects in cellular immunotherapy with nanotechnology that are just beginning!

The candidate must be a recent (within the last 2 years) Ph.D. in Immunology.

A strong background in immunology and multicolor (10-color +) FACS expertise is a requirement. Previous bench lab experience with strong in vitro skills (mammalian tissue culture, si/shRNA, ChIP, epigenetics, signaling, etc.); at least two peer-reviewed publications, must be highly motivated, productive and energetic.
