Postdoctoral Position Available

St Jude Children’s Research Hospital
Infectious Disease Therapeutics
Memphis, TN

Job Description:
Outstanding candidates are invited to apply for the Infectious Disease Therapeutics Training Program, an NIH-funded T32 fellowship program offering comprehensive training and support. The program’s goal is to develop an elite cohort of independent investigators with the skills and expertise to develop new therapeutics for infectious diseases.

Successful candidates will receive unique training across the full spectrum of techniques that are now required to identify potential bacterial and viral targets, and to develop novel therapeutics against them. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital offers exceptional on-campus resources for drug discovery and development, as well as a rich and collaborative training environment, excellent mentorship and opportunities for clinical experience and overseas training.

Job Qualifications:
Applicants should be PhD, MD, PharmD, DVM or DDS students nearing the completion of their degrees or no more than one year post graduation. Applicants must also be US citizens or permanent residents (i.e. green card holders). This is a restriction imposed by the NIH for their training grants, and not part of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital policy. Underrepresented minority applicants are urged to apply. Candidates will be considered from all relevant disciplines including microbiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, chemistry and computational biology. Applicants must be prepared to stay in the program for a minimum of three years to complete the training, be willing to travel abroad for their overseas training, and write a research grant to support their projects.

Application Instructions:
Please send a CV, including contact information for three references, as well as a 1-2 page summary of your past, current, and future research interests to postdoc@stjude.org
