Our Protein Expression Group is seeking a hands-on Scientist or Senior Associate Scientist at our Cambridge, MA site.

Principal responsibilities:

• Purify recombinant mono- and multi-specific antibody variants to support Antibody Discovery
• Troubleshoot and optimize purification of non-routine antibody variants and fusion proteins
• Basic protein characterization
• Cure cancer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive track record of mono- and multi-specific antibody purification from mammalian cell culture
• Expertise in protein purification to support multiple-scale workflows, including medium-throughput small-scale capture of numerous samples through to preparative scale production of lead candidates
• Experience using a number of purification methodologies including affinity (protein-A), ion-exchange, hydrophobic interaction, size-exclusion, etc.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize purification strategies
• Final-stage protein formulation experience including concentration, buffer exchange, stability assessment
• Basic protein characterization (HPLC-SEC, DLS, SDS-PAGE, Western blot, ELISA, Bio-Layer Interferometry/Octet analysis, FACS analysis) desirable
• Expertise in creative thinking and multitasking with strong communication skills and comfort in a fast-paced, multinational work environment

Basic Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. + 3-5 years of experience OR Ph.D. with relevant experience
